Finance Statement:
The Blackburn and District Blind Society raises Money by Donations, Collection Days, Fundraising Events and Legacies. Donations are made during fundraising events, collection days or by post or paid directly into the society’s bank account. All money so raised form an important part of the financing of the society which in turn enables it to support blind and partially sighted people.
Your Personal and Contact Details:
We collect, store and use your or your representative’s personal and contact details while we work with you. We retain details no longer than is necessary and will delete all details in line with the requirements stipulated by the current requirements in the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (“Data Protection Law”). We respect your right to privacy and operate according to law around the use and retention of data. We will never share any data without your permission.
All post and electronic mail containing the society’s newsletter is sent only with your consent. The society does not send any unsolicited communications or transfer data to third parties. Should you wish to view the society’s Data Protection Policy or unsubscribe from our mailing list, please contact the society’s office
All the information, contact details regarding our service users and volunteers are retained in locked storage facilities or on computer/cloud files that are protected by passwords
